Discovery Dating© is a relationship development workshop and workbook created by Alice Skenandore, the director of Wise Women Gathering Place. It provides the student with a tool for developing stable families and stronger communities by detailing a method of relationship development that enables the individual to see the pitfalls of poor choices and to understand the benefits of true partnership.
Participants in Discovery Dating© classes learn about healthy relationship building, the importance of mentors in a person's life and informed decision making skills for life choices. They also become aware of abstinence as a lifestyle choice and learn to identify risky behaviors.
The main idea behind Discovery Dating© is to generate confident and inspired young people, skilled in healthy relationship tools, who know what they want in life and who can assert their own values successfully in all kinds of social situations.
